Position: Administrative Assistant – Construction Training Programs

Location: Austin, TX | Full-Time | Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred

Are you organized, professional, and passionate about supporting education and skilled trades? Do you have experience in a construction office or working closely with the trades? If so, we want to hear from you!

We’re seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team supporting Apprenticeship and Electrician Training Programs. This position is vital to the success of our apprentices, members, and training initiatives across the region.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

  • Prior experience working in a construction office or supporting tradespeople is highly desired

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Able to manage records, support events, and communicate professionally with contractors, members, and students


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming phone calls

  • Maintain accurate documentation and files for all apprentices

  • Assist in managing class records and registration for apprenticeship and training programs

  • Maintain licensing records and documentation for the TDLR (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation) for both apprentices and the A.M.P.S. program

  • Support the Apprenticeship Manager and Training Director with onboarding and records for new and returning apprentices and seminar attendees

  • Help maintain up-to-date membership contact information on the  website

  • Assist with outreach efforts, including high school career fairs, updating counselor contacts, and posting on social media

  • Additional administrative and program support duties as assigned


Team Structure & Reporting:

  • Reports directly to the Executive Director

  • Collaborates closely with the Training Director, Apprenticeship Manager, Director of Membership Services, and other  staff
