We are looking for dedicated and skilled Quality Assurance Technicians to join a growing food manufacturing team in Rock Hill, SC. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a passion for quality, attention to detail, and a strong background in quality assurance within the food, pharma, or chemical industries. All positions are temp-to-hire with a comprehensive 6-month training program.
Work Schedule:
Shift: First shift with start times ranging from 5:30 AM to 9:00 AM on a monthly rotating schedule.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour (based on experience) plus Pay for Performance incentives.
Temp-to-Hire: All positions are temp-to-hire for the right candidates.
Position Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. You’ll work in various areas including the lab, warehouse, and production floor, and will be trained to perform a wide range of QA tasks to maintain product quality. We’re seeking candidates who are eager to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform analytical testing on sample retains and document results in appropriate logs/forms.
Calibrate scales and equipment to ensure accuracy.
Conduct production checks including weights, metal detector/X-ray/inline magnet checks, tare weights, seals, labels, etc.
Monitor and verify processes and procedures, including sanitation, preventative & corrective measures, and operations in processing and packaging areas.
Verify and validate raw and finished goods pallets for quality standards.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency and compliance across all tasks, regardless of the department or assignment.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of an Associate’s College degree.
At least 2 years of QA experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment (or experience in pharma or chemical industries).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
SAP S4 Hana experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
Ability to work in a lab, warehouse, and production environment, with the flexibility to adapt to different tasks and areas.
