Boardwalk Staffing is urgently hiring for Press Brake Operator's for a manufacturing client in Charlotte, NC 28208. This is an immediate need and we are looking for qualified candidates to start asap.

Hours: 6 A - 4:30 P Mon - Thurs

Pay - Rate: $ 18.25 / HR - Paid Weekly

Job Duties:

  • Measure and align materials to be used.

  • Inspect products, evaluate finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.

  • Perform routine maintenance on the press brake.

  • Use a CNC controller to input information into machine.

  • Check height, depth and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments.

  • Work with tight tolerances.

  • Perform spot inspections of parts.

  • Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned.

  • Program the CNC to produce new parts meeting specifications.

  • Read drawings and blueprints.

  • Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum and regular steel).

Requirements and Skills:

  • Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans.

  • Basic computer and math skills. - Must be able to pass internal testing to demonstrate knowledge.

  • 1-3 years of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred.

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle or free object.

  • Steel toed boots are required.

  • All candidates must successfully pass E-verify, background, and drug test.
