Seeking Truck Driver with Class A CDL

Monday thru Saturday Rotating Schedule, will work (4) ten hour days
***MUST HAVE CLASS A CDL WITH CLEAN DRIVING RECORD
***MUST PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT AND RANDOM DRUG TESTING
The Transfer Station Driver is responsible for operating a Class A vehicle to transport waste materials between the transfer station and the designated disposal sites. This position involves adhering to safety, environmental, and operational standards while meeting productivity goals for timely waste transportation. The driver must have experience driving heavy-duty trucks, be committed to safety, and have a strong focus on efficiency to help the transfer station operate smoothly.
This is a "mandatory-testing" position that requires Drug Testing.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
· Safely operates a Class A vehicle (tractor-trailer or similar heavy-duty truck) to transport waste materials to and from the transfer station
· Ensures all loads are properly secured, following safety and operational procedures
· Performs daily pre-trip inspections of the truck, checking fluid levels, tire condition, lights, brakes, and other safety features
· Reports any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the maintenance team for prompt resolution
· Transports waste materials from the transfer station to the disposal site following pre-established routes
· Ensures the timely and efficient loading and unloading of waste at the transfer station and disposal site
· Meets daily and weekly productivity targets related to the number of hauls, timeliness of deliveries, and fuel efficiency
· Strives to minimize idle time and reduce overall transportation costs without compromising safety or environmental standards
· Maintains consistent performance by adhering to schedules and goals set by the operations team
· Follows all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during transportation and delivery
· Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while loading, unloading, and driving
· Ensures compliance with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, including hours of service (HOS) rules, and report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor immediately

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Training and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) and at least three years of equipment operation or road construction experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License “A” required, for the type of equipment operated
Exception: A licensed driver who lives in another state and travels regularly to work in Florida may maintain an Operator's/Commercial Driver's license in state of residency.
