Accounts Payable Specialist

  • Process daily payments via bank wire,
  • Handle invoice and billing discrepancies with accuracy
  • Ensure invoices have appropriate backup to comply with audit standards
  • Accurate invoice keying
  • Month-end check reconciliation.
  • Reconcile Fuel Invoices
  • Manage Vendor Payments
  • Maintain Organized Records
  • Communicate with suppliers on pricing disputes

The preferred candidate must be able to meet strict month-end deadlines, be proficient in Microsoft Excel and data entry, and be able to handle a high volume of work with accuracy. Accounting experience preferred by not required.

- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments
- Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies
- Maintain vendor files and update information as needed
- Prepare and process journal entries related to accounts payable
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any payment or invoice issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as SOX requirements
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed


Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related role
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with payroll management systems (e.g., Kronos) is a plus
- Previous experience in public accounting is highly desirable
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
