Custodian

Responsible for maintaining the building cleanliness and safety. Maintaining a safe work environment on the production floor by eliminating slip, trip, and fall hazards. Cleaning floors by brooms, mops, industrial buffers, and ride on floor scrubber. Responding to all spills and leaks immediately. Heavy scrubbing of floors in common areas and bathrooms on a periodic basis. Pressure washing areas as needed. Unclogging toilets and maintaining free-running drains in all sinks and floor drains. Cleaning overhead vents and light fixtures. Changing water cooler bottles and removing empty bottles from floor. Cleaning and refilling eye wash stations. Picking up trash and debris on walkways, bushes, outdoor break area, and building entrance. Properly mixing water, chemicals, and detergents as required. Shampooing carpets on periodic basis. Minor building repairs and painting. Sidewalk maintenance in snow/icy conditions. Other duties as assigned. HSD or GED preferred 2 years experience in Janitorial duties Excellent communication and comprehension skills
