As an organization guru who works effectively with donors, internal and external clients, and candidates, you'll use your great communication skills and adaptability to take on the challenge of helping to rebuild the employment landscape. This dynamic role will provide screening services and support recruiting functions, with an emphasis on sourcing, assessing, and onboarding new talent, across multiple states. While generally located in New Bern, NC, some travel to other NC offices may be required; any required travel will include mileage reimbursement or use of company vehicle.
Job Purpose
Goes above and beyond to provide administrative support to the general function of our business. Will follow directives of Screening Director and Staffing Specialists to meet daily business goals. Daily interaction with the public is required. Support services may include providing drug and alcohol collections (for which training and certification is provided), executing criminal background checks, basic receptionist/clerical duties, data entry, answering phones, and assisting with scheduling/recruiting/onboarding. Successful candidates in this role will be self-motivated, adaptable, dependable, and able to foster relationships with donors, employees and clients. Most importantly, we are seeking a team player, that will jump in and assist with any business needs.
Screening Specialists work in person, 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday; we have full time, temp-hire and part time positions available.
Responsibilities
- Provide drug and alcohol screening and background screening services (training and certification provided).
- Perform Direct Observation Collections, when required.
- Perform Onsite Screening Collections (may require some travel outside of normal business hours).
- Follow directives and self-starter, with keen attention to detail.
- Flexibility to reprioritize focus as necessary, to achieve time sensitive goals.
- Facilitate and assist with candidate screening, testing/assessments, background checks, and reference checks.
- Provide support to recruiters by performing internet research functions, submitting job postings, and monitoring job positing sites.
- Schedule interviews, provide follow up correspondence to candidates on recruiting status via phone, email, and/or text.
- Facilitate onboarding processes.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass pre-employment screenings
- Ability to type at least 35 wpm
- 1 year of clerical experience (in some singular or combined capacity of clerical/administrative/receptionist position)
- 1 year customer service experience
- Professional office experience preferred
Compensation: $14+/hour, DOE. After probationary period, eligible for: PTO; Dental, Life and Long Term Disability Insurance; bonus pay (based on performance and business growth). Health Insurance options available.
