Beyond TalentEdge has a direct hire opportunity for a Staff Accountant. Our client is a leader in logistics operations.
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Finance and Accounting team by ensuring accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with the monthly close process. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities:

Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP

Post daily cash activity to the general ledger

Prepare and post weekly payroll journal entries

Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank, payroll, prepaid and accrual accounts

Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules

Maintain records and amortization schedules for leased assets

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of supporting

schedules

Assist with annual audit requests and provide supporting documentation

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other business-related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate)
• Experience with reconciliations, audits, or financial reporting preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP,
QuickBooks, or similar)
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and well organized
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Salary:
$60,000 - $75,000
