Beyond TalentEdge has partnered with a production machine shop in search of a Swiss Machinist to join their team. The role emphasizes a quality-first mentality, hands-on machining, and the opportunity to advance technical skills in both manual and CNC operations. Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Swiss and lathe machines, including Tsugami BE20, S206, Okuma LB3000 MYW, and LT2000.

  • Inspect parts and maintain quality standards using tools like optical comparators, gage pins, height stands, and thread gages.

  • Read and interpret prints and dimensions, including GD&T features.

  • Perform in-process inspections and first-piece validation for all jobs.

  • Maintain clean work spaces, organized material areas, and assist with inventory management.

 

Requirement Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with manual or CNC machines; Swiss machine setup experience preferred.

  • Ability to read basic prints and measure dimensions accurately.

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and standing for long periods.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work on feet ~75% of the day.

  • Formal machining education (BOCES/high career program or post-secondary) preferred but not

 

Salary & Schedule:

 

$25-40 an hour or more depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday Choose hours from 6:00am-4:30pm
