Beyond TalentEdge has a direct hire opportunity for an experienced detail-oriented Electrical Project Manager. The Electrical Project Manager directs and supervises activities related to the planning and monitoring of commercial and industrial construction projects, from inception to completion.
Responsibilities – this is a partial list (a full job description is available for interested/qualified candidates):

Be the lead for pre-construction meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to field.

Manage all financial aspects of the project through ongoing job forecasting.

Extract from job estimate, cost and labor hours to develop budget for ERP and timekeeping systems.

Develop and maintain a project schedule that meets the customer’s schedule and identifies electrical installation tasks.

Develop purchase orders with price, bill of material, billing requirements, freight requirements, dates required, etc.

Prepare and process submittals per contract documents or customer requirements for review and approval.

Develop subcontractor agreements with price, scope of work, insurance requirements, schedule and contract documents.

Pull permits or select an inspector at authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).

Develop and process change order pricing and scope or work as requested by customer or as required by project.

Maintain current working drawings identified per electrical scope of work showing RFIs, Change Orders, Addendums and As-Built changes.

Attend job walks; pre-bid meetings: weekly project meetings: collaborations and conference with clients and designs professionals
Education/Skills:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar studies preferred.

10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical construction industry, with a concentration in commercial and industrial large construction projects

OSHA 30 & NFPA 70E required.

Knowledge and proficiency with Code requirements and basic electrical engineering calculations; Voltage-drop, Ohm’s law, conduit-fill, wire ampacity, de-rating, etc.

Extensive experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, Spectrum and one of the major computerized estimating programs (e.g., ConEst, Accubid, McCormick, etc.) preferred

Valid NYS drivers’ license free from major infractions required.

Team player, self-motivated, gets along well with supervisors, peers and subordinates.

Computer proficiency includes data entry, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications.

Possess strong problem-solving abilities to address and solve survey challenges associated with construction operations.

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Knowledge of all federal, state, and local building codes, ordinances and regulations.

Ability to provide effective advice and counsel on strategic and/or critical communication issues and to exercise effective judgment.

Ability to develop and deliver oral presentations and written materials for a variety of audiences and multiple venues.

Demonstrates organizational and project management skills, including ability to set and manage multiple priorities, and to establish deadlines and ensure the completion of projects in the time allowed.
