Beyond TalentEdge has a direct hire opportunity for experienced Instrument Operator (Field Survey). Our client is a growing multi-disciplined Architecture/Engineering firm that has been serving their clients for 4 decades. They are a full service architectural/engineering firm with seven locations in New York State.

 

As an Instrument Operator you will report to the Director of Land Surveying and this will primarily be a field role, performing control, boundary and topographic surveys.

 

Partial list of Responsibilities are below – a full job description can be provided to qualified/interested candidates:

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Assist Party Chief in survey field activities, including:

 

  • Operation of total station and GNSS equipment

  • Perform necessary collimation and maintenance of survey equipment.

  • Field reconnaissance of property evidence.

  • Work well in team environment and follow direction of the Party Chief.

  • Assist with ensuring quality checks are implemented, and job safety procedures are being followed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Instrument Operator: 3+ years’ experience in land surveying

  • Valid Driver’s license required, with clean driving record.

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Land Surveying, a plus

  • Experience with NYSDOT survey procedures, a plus

  • Experience with Trimble robotics, a plus

  • Experience with Leica GNSS, a plus

  • Experience with terrestrial LiDAR, a plus

  • Experience with sUAS, a plus

  • Ability to perform physical work (i.e., strenuous walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying / loading equipment, etc.)

 

Salary & Benefits:

 

$52,000 – 79,000
