CNC Setup Operator

Beyond TalentEdge has partnered with a local Tool and Dye company in search of a CNC Setup to join their team. This role is Direct Hire, We invite you to apply today!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Set-up a wide variety of CNC mills, both vertical and horizontal, on processes using proper procedures and equipment to establish and ensure consistent and efficient operation, optimum perishable tooling usage, and acceptable quality levels.

  • Operate CNC mills, running new and existing production jobs per established processes.

  • Work with CNC Setup Operator II and/or Programmers in debugging and developing new production processes and basic programming skills.

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, as required.

  • Provide training and instruction as needed to operators and trainees in the operation and preventative maintenance of CNC mills and proper usage of required inspection equipment.

  • Monitor and maintain perishable tooling inventory for each assigned job.

  • Establish and perform all required inspection duties to maintain acceptable quality levels.

  • Follow any and/all process inspection procedures.

  • Work in conjunction with setup operator II to address problems associated with equipment, processes or procedures trying to explore, develop and recommend continuous improvement ideas in a timely manner.

  • Follow customer blueprint and specifications for requirements such as dimensions and tolerances tooling instructions on fixturing gaging and print rev. level.

  • Complete job related paperwork accurately and completely, which includes: expedite sheets, move tickets, job cards, NCMR’s, reqs and cost outs.

  • Basic GD&T skills.

  • Basic and Advanced Vantage training

  • Follow company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Mentors lesser skilled operators to help achieve goals

  • Works with engineers to analyze and address problems.

  • Perform setups, teardowns and organize perishable tool lists – tooling to proper kit location.

 

Requirement Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent technical training; and four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Salary & Schedule:

$23-26 per hour with 10% shift differential

Schedule: Monday- Friday 4pm- 12:00am
