Beyond TalentEdge is hiring for a local college. Our client is looking for an Administrative professional to support the department that engages with the university's supporters and alumni. This department aims to increase awareness of and investment in the university's strategic priorities.

 

This is a temp-hire opportunity.

  • M-F 8:30am – 4:30pm

  • $18/hr

  • Tentative start date 01/13/25

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as the initial point of contact for all individuals entering the department’s office.

  • Welcome staff, students and visitor’s with a demeanor that ensures a positive first impressions.

  • Manage the phone, voicemail and email promptly and professionally.

  • Respond to inquiries in a timely manner, reflecting a high standard of service

  • Routine office tasks – including but not limited to: - Handle incoming mail, submit facilities requests, order necessary supplies and maintain general appearance of the office.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent and/or previous experience in an academic environment is desired

  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated

  • Adjust between tasks quickly

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

 

Competencies/Skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Familiarity with common computer office programs (e.g. Microsoft office, Adobe, internet)

  • Ability to learn new computer based applications

  • Prior working knowledge of basic office/teaching machinery (e.g. copiers/printers, scanners, projectors, classroom podiums)
