Beyond TalentEdge is hiring a Grinder for a global manufacturing company that serves customers in the aerospace, oil and gas, automotive, medical, consumer, and industrial markets.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $19.31 - $21.63 per hour
Schedule:

Night Shift
Monday – Thursday:2:45pm – 12:15am
Friday- 2:45pm - 6:45pm (hours are adjustable)
Key Responsibilities:
• Set-Up, adjusts, and operates reciprocating or rotary wheel table-type surface grinders on more than one machine at a time.
• Work must follow to exacting tolerances with allowances made for effects of temperature and aging of raw material.
• Ability to perform mathematics and calculations as needed to complete tasks
• Knowledge on how to use different tooling and experience how to install
• Sustains tooling to perform at maximum efficiency
• Cleaning machine and coolant tanks as needed
• Follows established company policies
• Experience reading blueprints
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Prefers 2-4 years of grinding experience
Desired Attributes:
• Being able to sit, stand or walk for long periods
• Able to lift 40 pounds
• Experience using G & M code
• Intermediate skills of using a surface, cylindrical, Blanchard, centerless, and form grinders
• Experience with micrometers, indicators, calipers, Indi-square
• Ability to hold ±0.0001” dimensional, parallel, perpendicular, and flatness tolerances
• Prior experience grinding hard materials such as ceramics, glass, and carbides
