The Construction Materials Testing Technician performs material testing and inspection services on commercial construction sites.

Day trips in the Greater Rochester, NY area. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Test construction materials such as soils and concrete for quality assurance on commercial sites

  • Read construction drawings and specifications and correctly interpret test results

  • Complete each testing assignment accurately and in accordance with appropriate standards

  • Record and report test results in a clear, concise manner

  • Communicate regularly with direct supervisor to provide updates on project details

  • Complete continuing education and preparation for additional certifications through the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Code Council (ICC)

Qualifications and Skills

  • HS Diploma

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Technology, Geology, or related is ideal although not necessary

  • Ability to obtain certifications through American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Code Council (ICC) with full support from the company

  • Familiarity with construction materials, procedures, and documents a plus

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

PAY RATE $20-$25/HR
