Beyond Talent Edge is currently recruiting for a Phlebotomist for a local health care facility. A phlebotomist is a medical professional who is responsible for drawing blood from patients for various medical tests, donations, and transfusions.
Available Shift:
Sunday- Thursday 4am-12:30pm or 1:30pm-10pm
Pay rate $18-$20 depending on experience
The job description of a phlebotomist includes the following duties and responsibilities:

Collecting blood specimens: The primary duty of a phlebotomist is to collect blood specimens from patients using various techniques, such as venipuncture, capillary puncture, and arterial puncture.

Identifying patients and labeling samples: Phlebotomists are responsible for verifying patients' identities, labeling specimens correctly, and ensuring that they are properly stored and transported to the laboratory for testing.

Preparing equipment: Phlebotomists must ensure that all equipment used for blood collection is clean and in good working condition.

Communicating with patients: Phlebotomists must explain the blood collection process to patients and address any concerns they may have.

Maintaining records: Phlebotomists are responsible for maintaining accurate records of blood collection procedures, patient information, and laboratory results.

Adhering to safety protocols: Phlebotomists must follow strict safety protocols to minimize the risk of infection or injury to themselves or patients. They must also dispose of hazardous waste materials properly.

Participating in training and continuing education: Phlebotomists must stay up-to-date with the latest techniques, regulations, and best practices in their field. They may need to participate in training and continuing education programs to maintain their skills and knowledge.
