Outside Sales Representative – Residential & Commercial Painting

We are currently looking for a self-motivated and outgoing individual who is looking for a challenging opportunity to join our team as a Sales & Marketing Associate. In this role you will meet with multiple, qualified clients each day. Our sales process centers around our customer. You will focus on educating your clients, truly building a relationship with them and most importantly, delivering on your promises throughout the sales and production process.

Our ideal candidate is a driven and motivated "people person". No Sales experience is required however is a plus. He or she must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong presentation and writing skills, and be available to work evenings and weekends as needed. A college degree and industry knowledge are preferred. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position. What we're looking for

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures administrative duties are complete in a timely manner, including maintaining all data (lead profiles, job profiles, proposals, etc.) in the database and preparing reports/documentation as required

 

  • On-going commitment to hitting and exceeding sales and marketing goals

 

  • Performs sales duties, including meeting with customers, scheduling designer consultations and/or follow up meetings, ensuring proposals are signed and completing all required paperwork/data entry

 

  • Develops and implements various Marketing Campaigns covering various mediums including social media, events, and cold-calling (door-to-door)

 

  • Complete painting estimate appointments to make in-home presentations to potential and existing customers in assigned territory

 

  • Record accurate measurements and write detailed descriptions of projects inspected

 

  • Helps with production, including ensuring written proposals are accurate and clearly define all expectations of the customer, ensuring all landed jobs are handed off to the correct person, communicating customer scheduling preferences and needs, managing customer expectations and ensuring they understand the entire process after the job is landed, maintaining communication with customers after a job is completed to ensure satisfaction and to generate referrals

General Job Responsibilities and Required Skills

  • Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of proven sales experience a plus; or advanced education degree, coursework or tech school a plus

  • Proven record of ability to hit and exceed goals 

  • Must be capable of working in all weather conditions and have flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • Previous service business experience desired

  • Sales experience a plus 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong verbal/written skills, to include proof-reading and basic math skills

  • Familiar with basic functions of CRM and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong computer and internet skills

  • Goal oriented

  • History of accomplishment and promotion

  • Active listener

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record and Must have own vehicle
