Press Brake Operator $22 Pr Hr DOE

Job Summary:

The Press Brake Operator will use a press brake to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.

2. Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.

3. Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available.

4. Measures and aligns materials to be used.

5. Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.

6. Performs routine maintenance on the press brake.

7. Maintains a clean work area.

8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls.

2. Ability to follow instructions.

3. Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans.

4. Basic computer and math skills.

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

2. At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred.

Physical Requirements:

1. Physically able to operate the press brake.

2. Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.

3. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.

Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Friday.
