Position: Master Planner

Hours: 7-3pm or 8-4pm (Monday-Friday) based on company needs
The Purchasing Manager will be working closely with the Master planner on scheduling. We have 54 machines, but not all are being utilize. It’s based on orders. Currently we average 35 machines for both shifts.
JOB SUMMARY
This roles focus is on managing production schedules and coordinating efficient scheduling on multiple production lines, to satisfy customer demand and delivery dates as required. Works with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction. Issues raw material requirements planning for purchasing department. Analyzes and reports on actual customer demand, trends, and forecasts, and adjusts capacity plans accordingly.
REQUIRED:
• College diploma
• Accredited College degree Industrial Engineering Technology, Engineer in Supply Chain or other related fields.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyzes and revises production plans based on supplier delivery and manufacturing schedules
• Input daily production
• Translates projected forecasts, incoming PO volume into a production plan across multiple production lines, with a time-phased build schedule.
• Work with customer based demand planner and or customer service to determine weekly inbound forecast and develop models to improve production accuracy.
• Coordinate necessary material movement with warehouse team, to support timely changeovers and manufacturing up time.
• Establish key performance indicators of forecast accuracy.
• Track and maintain the forecast through timely and accurate feedback.
• Schedule production demand based on the product mix and provide accurate commitment dates to customer service team across multiple product lines.
• Assemble master schedule reporting regarding performance to the production plan, the shipment plan and the business plan.
• Provide input to finance on operating plans for the sales and operations planning process, concerning incoming volume and capacity.
• Identify current planned level of demand and create tactical production plans to meet the identified customer demand.
• Calculate production lead times.
• Manage load leveling and bottleneck scheduling across multiple lines
• Analyze production floor status through input/output control reporting.
• Understand capacity management relationship to MRP. Work with work center and machine centers input and output loading.
• Establish, measure, monitor, and adjust capacity levels to execute all manufacturing schedules.
• Determine available capacity before planned orders are released.
• Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning, master scheduling, materials requirements planning, and production activity control.
• Transfer paperwork and communicate with Team Leads, and other departments as needed
• Issue purchase orders as necessary
• Order all company supplies (office and production floor)
