Pay: $18.00 per hour, paid weekly!
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Employment Type: Full time, Trial to Hire
About this Opportunity:
The CNC Operator produces high quality parts and materials by identifying the correct programming and ensure the operations are correct in accordance with the specification. The operator is responsible for complying with all safety guidelines and standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
•Properly load and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the integrity of the manufacturing process, prevent damage to the equipment and avoid injury to self and others.
•Monitor proper cell operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, making adjustments as needed.
•Inspect materials for defects, measure machined items for accuracy of machining operations, using rules, templates, and other measuring instruments.
•Perform ongoing and scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
•Perform job changeovers including the switching of work holding and cutting tool packages, machine or cell controller programs or parameters and verification of task completion.
•Operate peripheral equipment as needed to maintain production.
•Analyses tasks and processes to provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
•Maintains an orderly and efficient work environment as defined by 5S principles.
What makes you a great fit:
•Able to communicate needs and make recommendations for improvement.
•High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline a plus.
•Proven experience as CNC operator.
•Skill in operating CNC machinery, tooling and precision measurement tools.
•Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents, drawings and specifications.
•Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer controls.
•Mechanical aptitude.
•Math skills, including fractions and decimal conversions.
