Now Hiring: Machine Operator
Location: Plymouth, MN
Pay: $17.00 per hour with 50 cent raises through training
Shift: 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday
Employment Type: Full time, trial to hire
About this Opportunity:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating converting equipment by following all standard work to job specifications in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Produce, inspect, pack and stack envelopes to job specifications and standard work.
Performs quality checks, inspect job samples and completes sign offs.
Maintain production records, equipment logs and computer software entry accurately and timely.
Assemble and disassemble carton supplies throughout job run per job specifications.
Clear jams and restart machinery on converting equipment (at higher machine operator levels).
Monitor and ensure safety compliance as well as good housekeeping, including replenishing, washing, cleaning,
organizing, and disposing of waste items.
Supports new machine operator training program and provides breaks to associates, as needed.
Operate forklift safely and maintain updated certification.
What makes you a great fit:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One to three years manufacturing or packaging-based work experience.
Accurate skills in math and ruling; attention to precision and detail.
Demonstrated positive communication and openness to process improvement.
Demonstrated punctual work attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
