Pay: $60,000-$70,000 salary, depending on experience
Shift: 7:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday (flexible)

About this Opportunity:
We’re seeking a hands-on, well-organized HR Generalist to support a full range of human resources functions. This individual will report and work directly with the Controller to manage day-to-day HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and safety documentation. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to be a key partner in supporting both employees and leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing:
•Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination
•Conduct onboarding, orientation, and employee file setup for new hires
•Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies
•Support employee relations efforts and performance tracking processes
•Facilitate employee communication related to benefits, wellness initiatives, and open enrollment
•Coordinate pre-employment checks, including background screenings and MVR checks
•Administer the company’s drug testing program (pre-employment, random, post-incident)
•Assist with DOT recordkeeping and compliance (driver files, medical cards, annual reviews)
•Maintain safety documentation, SDS sheets, OSHA logs, and incident reports
•Coordinate workers’ compensation reporting and follow-up with case managers
•Serve as backup for payroll processing
•Track and coordinate employee leaves (FMLA, MN PFML, ADA, etc.)
•Support HRIS and systems data accuracy
What makes you a great fit:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
•Note: Relevant professional experience (e.g. 6+ years of direct HR experience) and/or and industry certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
•Minimum of 3 years of HR Generalist experience or progressive HR Coordinator experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
•Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
•Minimum of one year recruiting experience
•Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, preferred experience with Paychex Flex
•Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
•Demonstrates the ability to build rapport and work effectively with individuals across diverse backgrounds, roles, and experiences
•Takes initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions
•Able to remain calm and focused when faced with conflict or uncertainty
•Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
