Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
Job Description: All Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of a wide variety of equipment, manufacturing processes, and the facility. They will employ a wide range of skills including basic electricity, welding, plumbing, and boiler operation, to name a few. All Maintenance Technicians must be able to safely and properly utilize tools and equipment to ensure Production/Operations can accomplish their mission. Thorough completion of assigned tasks, such as Work Orders, Preventative Maintenance Schedules, adherence to established safety protocols, and Data Entry is essential to the job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Work safely with electricity up to and including 480VAC. Responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing electrical components including large motors.
•Develop and describe new Electrical Controls ideas/recommendations.
•Review blueprints, electrical schematics, and PLC Ladder Logic and offer recommendations for changes, if required.
•Be part of a Root Cause Analysis team.
•Perform advanced plumbing repairs and/or in-kind replacement in a variety of materials, such as ABS, PVC, Black-Pipe, and stainless steel.
•Develop, describe, and implement new plumbing systems, both under pressure and no/low pressure systems.
•Perform major demolition and installation of conduit and plumbing systems.
•Weld with a variety of equipment types (stick and/or wire feed) and styles (MIG/TIG) on mild and/or stainless steel.
•Perform major fabrication projects.
•Work safely with a variety of hand and bench tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
•Perform Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Schedules, accomplish assignments outlined in Work Orders, and correct deficiencies they identify as soon as possible.
•Analyze and recommend changes to existing Preventative Maintenance Schedules based on value added.
•Complete all documentation and computerized data entry associated with work conducted.
•Create and/or modify existing documentation and Preventative Maintenance Schedules.
•Analyze inventories to ensure required parts are on-hand and recommend changes.
•Order required inventory replacement items.
•Identify potential vendors and contractors based on need of the company.\
•Provide oversight for vendors and contractors on-site.
•Utilize Good Manufacturing Practices (Best Practices) when conducting assigned tasks.
•Plan, Prepare, and Support the installation of new equipment and processes.
•Make recommendation for employment and utilization of new equipment and processes.
•Demonstrate a 100% commitment to and set the example for others with the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
•Work assigned schedule with possibility of on-call and/or OT, as required.
•Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
•High School diploma or equivalent
•4+ Maintenance Experience or, 4+ years of construction trades experience can be substituted.
•Possession of 2nd Class B Boiler license preferred, or ability to obtain later on.
Qualifications:
•Ability to operate computers and technological devices.
•Ability to utilize PLC/HMI Systems for advanced troubleshooting and knowledge of the programming of the same.
•Advanced knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
•Ability to learn quickly learn new equipment, processes, tool utilization, and techniques.
•Ability to teach others their knowledge and skills.
•Ability to provide over-sight and guidance for others on the Maintenance Team.
