Location: Saint Paul, MN
Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Pay: $24.19 Hourly
Employment Type: Full time, trial to hire! 

About this Opportunity:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career as a machine operator with a growing, employee-owned manufacturer. You will develop valuable industry skills by operating grinding machinery. Other responsibilities include loading, unloading, sorting, counting, quality checking, and making adjustments to machinery to ensure safety and efficiency. 

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Operate grinding machinery used in the manufacturing of twist drill bits
• Load and unload drills from machines
• Make minor adjustments to controls to maintain quality
• Verify and control specifications within job card tolerances
• Use measuring devices such as micrometers, rulers, and scopes to ensure quality standards are met
• Complete paperwork to maintain proper documentation of operations
• Participate in continual improvement efforts
• Communicate machine and quality status to Setups and Leads
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned 

What makes you a great fit:
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/procedural manuals, and job cards
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measurement)
• Ability to use measuring devices and interpret quality specifications
• Ability to stand regularly, use hands to handle drill bits, and lift up to 40 pounds

• Prior CNC Machine operating experience preferred 

Physical Demands:
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Vision requirements: close vision for quality checking
• Ability to use hands to handle drill bits
• Must satisfactorily perform a physical assessment to confirm ability to perform essential job functions
