Job Title: Vacuum Forming Operator

Location: St. Cloud, MN

Type of Job: Full time trial to hire

Hours: Between 5am start time, depending on production needs. Monday – Thursday 10 hour work days with over time as required.

Pay: $19 to $25 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Transportation: This position is not locate on the bus line. Applicant must have their own personal, reliable transportation.

Job Description: Atlas Staffing INC. is currently partnering with a leading supplier in the plastics industry located in St. Cloud MN. They are seeking a Vacuum Forming Operator. Ability to work flexible hours, able to deal with frequent changes and delays or unexpected events, attention to detail, meet productive and quality standards, works well with a team, good attendance/punctuality.

This company is a sheet-plastic fabricator of custom components, products and display systems. Serving manufacturer, distributors/resellers and commercial end-users in retail, industrial OEM, powersports and other markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

• Reads job tickets and drawings and confers with lead to determine processes, techniques and material required.

• Performs complete and comprehensive setup and operation of the vacuum formers including emergency shutdown procedures.

• Performs simple tool building procedures for prototypes and small run projects.

• Works with tool builders to produce prototypes and engineer production tooling and material yielding.

• Programs controls on machine to adjust temperature, pressure, and time cycle.

• Examines formed part for defects and perform any post trimming required

• Maintains accurate parts count and labeling while keeping parts clean.

• Maintains molds and the storage and labeling of them.

Education/Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability: Must read and speak English. Ability to red and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
