Sheet Metal Press Brake Operator

Location: Shakopee, MN

Type of job: Temp-to-hire

Shift: Monday - Friday 

          7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 

Pay: $20-24 hr, Depending on experience!

Job description:

We are seeking a skilled Lead Press Brake Operator to oversee and manage the operation of press brake machines in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the press brake, interpreting technical blueprints, ensuring high-quality output, and leading a team of operators. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machine to fabricate structural steel, complete the layout, and inspect the production

• Set up press brake machines for metal bending operations

• Read and interpret technical blueprints and specifications.

• Ensure precision and quality control in all bending processes.

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines.

• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.

• Maintain accurate production records and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements: 

• High school diploma or GED 

• Sheet metal fabrication

• Resume or work history 

• Minimum two years of press brake operation experience

• Leadership skills/experience

• Ability to read drawings and blueprints
