Job Summary

Maintain efficient and safe operations of all equipment, machinery, and building facilities to support the manufacturing plant. Build, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot dies in tool room and punch press. Perform timely and accurate changeovers per production requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Build, assemble and debug new production dies.
• Perform all levels of maintenance on existing dies, both planned and unplanned.
• Troubleshoot die problems in the tool room and in the press.
• Revise and upgrade dies as needed.
• Complete changeovers on dies to meet production needs.
• Mentor apprentices to improve their skills.
• Identify and report equipment or process inefficiencies.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure safety compliance.
• Repair breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Conduct repairs and updates to facility systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Tool & Die Certification from TMA (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of stamping dies, die design, and tooling maintenance.
• Proficient in trigonometric calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret tool prints.
• Basic computer literacy and advanced math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally; frequently lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to stand for full shift; manual dexterity; stooping, kneeling, climbing.
• Independent problem-solving and communication skills.
