Join our team today! We are seeking skilled Millwrights to fill full-time positions in a well-established paper company. This is a Direct Hire opportunity on 2nd and 3rd shifts with competitive pay of $35.02 per hour and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications:
- Current Journeyman's card required.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, repair, and dismantle industrial machinery and heavy equipment (pumps, conveyors, bearings).
- Read blueprints, align machines, and equipment using various tools.
- Perform root cause analysis, identify potential problems, and execute corrective actions.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, participating in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement processes (Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, etc.).
- Ensure the reliability of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions, utilizing mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools; welding, machining, and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Contribute to team effort by achieving performance metrics.
- Comply with all OSHA safety and health regulations.
- Fulfill any additional reasonable requests deemed necessary by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
- MIG, TIG, and STICK welding skills.
- Mechanical aptitude, including pump rebuilding, bearing installation, and the ability to read a micrometer.
- Skills in operating equipment such as forklifts, personnel lifts, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment, demonstrating a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of PLCs.
