Food manufacturer located in Buckner, KY is looking for Maintenance Technicians to join their team.  These are direct hire opportunities offering payrates between $26-$30/hour with pay increases after 2 years and offer major benefits starting your first day of hire.  This role entails overseeing the setup, adjustment, maintenance, and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment within our production facility.


Schedule:

Off Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (2-2-3 Schedule)


Responsibilities:

  1. Perform diagnostic assessments on machines and equipment to identify malfunctions.
  2. Conduct inspections and measurements of parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other issues.
  3. Adjust functional parts of machinery and control instruments, including change-overs and running adjustments to ensure optimal production and quality standards.
  4. Execute preventive maintenance checks and record all relevant data.
  5. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery components as required.
  6. Replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanisms or hydraulic systems.
  7. Test machines and equipment following repairs and maintenance to ensure proper operation.
  8. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company policies, and procedures.
  9. Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor to develop corrective plans based on downtime reports.
  10. Ensure safety and quality standards are met while performing all duties.
  11. Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. Basic skills test proficiency required, demonstrating knowledge of motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, basic electrical skills, etc.
  3. Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  4. Preferably 3-5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a packaging operation involving glass and plastic containers.
  5. Proficiency in using hand and trade-type tools.
  6. Ability to operate equipment safely and sensibly, with attention to detail.
  7. Team-oriented with the capability to work independently or collaboratively.
  8. Validations required for position or machine operation after initial training and every 6 months.
  9. Forklift driving experience preferred; willingness to obtain certification.
  10. Dependable and reliable with the ability to work mandatory overtime as needed.
  11. Experience in manufacturing or distribution is advantageous.
  12. Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
