The JobSquad Solutions is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join an industry-leading automotive company located in Farwell, MI. We are seeking a talented Quality Manager with automotive experience to drive quality assurance initiatives and ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout our clients operations. This is a Direct Hire position with a salary package of $80k to $85k and outstanding benefits!

SUMMARY
Plans, coordinates, and manages quality assurance program designed to ensure consistent production, continual improvement of products and processes that meet or exceed customer requirements by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

  • Establish and maintain a quality system that assures all products are world class in terms of quality.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an environment of continual improvement for all products and processes.
  • Works with Advanced Product Quality Planning Teams (APQP) to develop and analyze product specifications to determine requirements and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product and verify process capability.
  • Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
  • Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
  • Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
  • Coordinates the evaluation of product quality to determine whether to accept a product and/or continue business with a vendor based on product quality.
  • Reviews and reports on the performance and effectiveness of quality assurance monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Develops innovative approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
  • Provides analysis and feedback information on all pertinent quality issues to management.
  • Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of industry quality codes and standards.
  • Plays active role on quality management teams within organization.
  • Plans, promotes, and organizes training programs related to product quality.
  • Investigates and coordinates all activities related to customer quality complaints including oral and written correspondence with customers.
  • Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of and supports Human Resource, Quality and Safety/Environmental policies & practices. Strives for continuous improvement in their area of expertise and job function that results in better cost, quality, or functionality of the products we deliver to our customers.
  • Perform the review of both customer specific requirements and satisfaction in reference to both new and existing customers to ensure all functions in the organization have the applicable requirements to the latest revision levels.
  • Translate and interpret customer specific requirements, as necessary to ensure the organization meets the customers’ requirements.
  • Manage communication in relation to the requirements to specific process owners as required.
  • Complete and update the customer specific requirements and customer information log to include the items listed above.
  • Abide by the organization’s legal and other requirements, as well as statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Monitor customer websites and portals to ensure both customer specific requirements, legal and other requirements, and statutory and regulatory obligations related to quality are documented and maintained.
  • Manage the submission of deviation requests, process changes, and engineering change requests.
  • Assist in the design, documentation, and maintenance of system processes.
  • Manage a project’s scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment from start to finish.
  • Report on technical issues and questions, make recommendations to product team.
  • Communicate key insights to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners.
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve business practices and efficiencies.
  • Manages subordinates and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Additionally, may supervise other employees. Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


  • EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or four to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledgeable of and supports Human Resource, Quality and Safety/Environmental policies & practices. Strives for continuous improvement in their area of expertise and job function that results in better cost, quality, or functionality of the products we deliver to our customers.
  • Knowledge of quality, manufacturing and inventory software, knowledge of Design software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software.
  • Effective communication skills to clearly explain options and solutions.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference as well as concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
