Job Title: Welder
Compensation: $18-24
Shift: First: 7AM - 3:30PM
Second – 3PM to 11:30PM
The JobSquad Solutions is currently looking for an experienced WELDER to work at a company located in the Lansing area!
Responsibilities:
- Operate welding equipment like arc welders, oxyacetylene torches, etc. to join metal parts
- Understand specifications of the weld to be performed and the metals to be joined
- Ensure welding equipment is calibrated and safe before performing welding operations
- Identify potential issues and defects and correct them
- Follow standard welding procedures and safety protocols
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve welding processes
Requirements:
- Proven welding experience as a welder
- Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols
- AWS certification in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW etc.
- Knowledge of welding tools and procedures
- High school diploma; technical degree or welding certification preferred
- Hands-on experience with MIG, TIG and arc welding techniques
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Detail-oriented and capable of producing high quality work
