Mechanical Engineer

NOW HIRING: Mechanical Engineer - Direct Hire Role!

One of our valued clients, a growing pipeline-focused company with a tight-knit team of approximately 20 employees, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support pipeline and gas line projects.

Note: This is a hands-on, onsite role requiring collaboration with supervisors, engineers, and field teams. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer:

• Support the design, analysis, and implementation of pipeline and gas line systems
• Assist with mechanical design related to piping, pressure systems, and components
• Work closely with supervisors and other engineers to support day-to-day operations and projects
• Participate in regular team meetings, project reviews, and technical discussions
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Provide hands-on engineering support in coordination with fabrication, installation, and maintenance activities
• Ensure work aligns with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and best practices
• Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts related to pipeline or gas line systems

Experienced Needed for the Mechanical Engineer Role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical/engineering discipline
• Prior experience or exposure to pipeline systems and/or gas lines (preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude with interest in hands-on engineering work
• Ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and cross-functional teams
• Ability to work fully onsite in Chicago, IL

Schedule & Pay for the Mechanical Engineer Role:

• Salary: $80,000 annually, based on experience
• Full-time, onsite role
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No remote or hybrid work available
