Our valued manufacturing partner in Elk Grove Village, IL is looking for experienced Electrical & Automation Technicians.
Key Responsibilities of the Electrical & Automation Technicians:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical systems and components.
- Monitor, maintain, and upgrade controls, drives, PLCs, HMIs, and related automation equipment.
- Assist maintenance mechanics with troubleshooting and repairing controls or program issues.
- Write and modify control programs, and design new or improved control systems as needed.
- Conduct system inspections, testing, and calibration to ensure performance and reliability.
- Lead or support control system upgrades and equipment installations.
- Maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Promote a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by following company policies and safety standards.
Who qualifies for the Electrical & Automation Technician role:
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent (required).
- Associate degree or technical certification in electrical or automation fields (required).
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with electrical systems, automation controls, and PLC programming.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical components, schematics, ladder logic, and diagrams.
- Familiarity with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms and CMMS systems preferred.
- Experience in a food or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts, or irregular hours as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork mindset.
Schedule & Pay for the Electrical & Automation Technician roles:
- 1st shift, Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 5 PM
- $30-40/hr. +, based on skills and experience
