We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Worker to cover for approximately two months, with the potential for continued employment based on performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for general maintenance and upkeep across multiple properties, including our business facility, a local retirement home/housing co-op, and the Senior Center. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in property maintenance and contribute to the well-being of our community.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify and address issues.
Perform preventive maintenance on facilities systems including lighting, cooling, heating, and plumbing.
Cleaning and maintaining water heaters
Basic landscaping duties and snow removal during winter months
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues effectively to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Work collaboratively with and under the supervision of experienced maintenance staff
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Background check and drug screen required upon offer of employment
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable and punctual.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Previous experience in maintenance role preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time hours for a temporary period (2 months) with possibility of employment after that depending on performance. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule.
