Well-established Restaurant and Casino in the Bitterroot Valley is searching for a Bookkeeper/Casino Cash Auditor. The Bookkeeper/Casino Cash Auditor is responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of all cash handling operations throughout the Casino, Restaurant tills, and Liquor Store, ensuring accuracy and security of monetary transactions. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
Audit Functions:
Conduct daily audits of slot machine collections and vault transactions
Verify the accuracy of cash counts, deposits, and transfers between departments
Reconcile gaming revenue reports with actual cash collections and deposits
Review and audit promotional payments, jackpot payouts, and customer withdrawals
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed audit reports documenting findings, discrepancies, and recommendations
Maintain comprehensive records of all audit activities and supporting documentation
Report significant variances or compliance issues to management immediately
Verify proper authorization and documentation for large transactions
Requirements:
High School Diploma
College courses in Finance, or related employment, preferred
Minimum 1-3 years of auditing experience, preferably in gaming or hospitality
Knowledge of Restaurant and Casino operations is highly desirable
Strong analytical and mathematical skills with exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency in audit software, spreadsheet applications, and casino management systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
