Excavation Laborer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Excavation Laborer to join our team. As an Excavation Laborer, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects by assisting with all aspects of excavation work, ensuring that sites are prepared for building. Your primary responsibilities will involve digging, trenching, and preparing sites for concrete pouring, as well as helping to operate heavy equipment under the supervision of experienced operators. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in excavation and concrete preparation, along with the ability to shoot grade using a transit. This position involves physical labor and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. 

 Responsibilities: 

• Operate and maintain excavation equipment and tools. 
• Shoot grade using a transit to ensure proper elevation and slopes for excavation projects. 
• Prepare and level surfaces for concrete pouring, ensuring proper subgrade conditions. 
• Assist in marking out excavation areas and measuring out project dimensions. 
• Load and unload construction materials and tools as necessary. 
• Perform site clean-up and ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times. 
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards. 
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. 
• Maintain accurate records of daily work activities and progress. 
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements: 

• Previous experience as an Excavation Laborer or in the construction industry is required. 
• Proficient in shooting grade using a transit and leveling surfaces. 
• Knowledge of concrete preparation and related procedures. 
• Ability to operate various excavation tools and equipment safely. 
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). 
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. 
• Familiarity with safety regulations in the excavation industry.
