We are seeking an experienced and reliable Water Truck Driver to join our construction team. As a Water Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our construction sites remain safe and well-maintained. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a water truck to deliver and apply water to various locations on the job site, preventing dust and supporting soil stability. You will also be tasked with maintaining the water truck, ensuring it is in optimal working condition at all times. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to safety protocols and has a strong understanding of construction site operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills along with a keen attention to detail, as you will be responsible for monitoring the water levels and ensuring that the correct amount is being delivered to each location. Working as a Water Truck Driver will require collaboration with other team members and a proactive approach to problem-solving as challenges arise on the site. Responsibilities:
Operate a water truck safely and efficiently in various terrains and weather conditions.
Fill the water truck at designated water sources.
Transport water to job sites, including construction sites and gravel pits.
Apply water for dust control, soil compaction, and other purposes as directed.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the water truck, ensuring it is in safe operating condition.
Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate records of water usage and truck mileage.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the water truck.
Spray gravel pits to maintain optimal moisture levels.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Valid Class D Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is REQUIRED.
Tanker Endorsements are REQUIRED.
Previous experience operating a water truck or similar heavy equipment.
Proficiency in operating an 18-speed transmission.
Ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections and identify potential mechanical issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
Job Type: Varied/Seasonal. 45-48 hours a week through October/November
