We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Excavation Laborer to join our construction team. In this crucial role, you will assist in the preparation and execution of various excavation projects, contributing to the development of residential, commercial, and infrastructure sites. This is a seasonal, as-needed position with varied responsibilities supporting our excavation projects. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and possess a strong work ethic. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in the excavation field.
Responsibilities:
Perform manual labor tasks at excavation sites
Rake and shovel materials such as dirt, gravel, and asphalt.
Assist with grade checking and leveling (shooting grade).
Operate a jumping jack (compactor) to compact soil and other materials.
Assist in the laying of pipes, ensuring proper alignment and connection.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Assist other team members as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Previous experience in excavation work
Reliable transportation to varied job sites
Personal Protective Equipment required (hard hat, work boots, ear protection, eye protection)
Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in construction.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
