General Job Tasks & Duties:
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist as needed.
- Take and record patient vital signs and medical history.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for testing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and files in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient services under the supervision of a medical provider, according to established protocols.
- All other job duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate from medical assistant training program; certification is preferred.
- One year experience in a medical facility is preferred.
- Complete and pass the annual competency assessments including age-specific criteria and maintain required continued education units (CEUs).
- Background check and drug screen required upon offer of employment.
- Capacity for planning and organizing, prioritizing, and planning work activities and using time efficiently.
- Display appropriate interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and co-workers.
- Capability to handle confidential information and materials appropriately.
- Exhibit an immense level of ethics, treating people with respect, inspiring the trust of others, and working with integrity and principles.
