We are searching for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our crew and help us build our client’s residential and commercial construction dreams. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a vital role in our construction projects, operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery to complete tasks efficiently and safely. If you have experience in the construction industry, a strong work ethic, and a passion for operating heavy equipment, we would love to hear from you!

General Expectations & Job Duties:

  • Operate and maintain heavy machinery, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders
  • Perform regular inspections and routine maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your coworkers
  • Interact with clients in a polite and business-like manner
  • Maintain a positive work environment and team player attitude
  • Cultivate a positive safety culture by demonstrating safe practices and holding self and others accountable
  • Report all accidents and near-miss incidents immediately to the direct supervisor and HR
  • Handle and transport materials and equipment in a safe manner
  • Use power tools and machinery when needed
  • Assist labor crew including shoveling, raking, and compacting of materials
  • Assist other members of the team in different areas of construction as needed
  • Effectively communicates to ground personnel, truck drivers, and supervisors
  • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions
  • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions to direct supervisors
  • Report any problems or disputes between crew to the direct supervisor
  • Regular and timely attendance
  • Wear company required PPE 
  • All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous Operator experience is preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Proficient knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs.) and work in various weather conditions
  • Background check and drug screen required upon offer of employment
