The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the completion of all service requests and job duties at the direction of the Property Manager for the Apartments. This essential role ensures that work is completed promptly and meets quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years or more of skilled maintenance work 
  • General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair
  • Working knowledge of tools
  • Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Extensive interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Background check and drug screen upon offer of employment

Maintenance Technician-Specific Job Tasks and Duties

  • Complete service tickets and log all work orders legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner
  • Prepare vacant Apartments by following established turnover processes to ensure spaces are ready for new residents
  • Professionally interacts with residents
  • Replaces electrical circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches, fuses, and light bulbs
  • Installation, repair, or removal of appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers
  • Completes minor carpentry repairs including interior and exterior doors, caulking, and trim work
  • Plumbing repairs or replacements such as toilets, sinks, and disposals
  • Completes interior and exterior painting projects

Maintenance Technician-General Job Tasks and Duties

  • Upkeep grounds around Apartments including landscaping, bulk trash removal, and snow removal
  • Effectively manages and solves issues in a timely manner
  • Fosters positive relationships and interactions with residents, applicants, vendors, contractors, team members, and community members
  • Run errands and travel between properties
  • Must be able to walk, stand, climb, and work in tight spaces
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from varying heights
  • Good physical condition and strength, ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted


Job Type: FT, 30-40 hrs./week, 5 days a week w/ 1 weekend shift included
