A leading construction firm specializing in residential and commercial projects is seeking an experienced Foreman to oversee daily operations on-site. Must be fully knowledgeable about all phases of construction and be able to manage multiple projects at a time.
Job Duties:
- Arrive at the job site 30 minutes earlier than the crew to prepare for the day.
- Have the right tools and equipment on the job, before starting tasks.
- Call off equipment when no longer needed.
- Ensure all equipment on site is within budget.
- Keep equipment clean and maintained daily.
- Use tool tool-tracking App.
- Keep trailers organized and clean at all times.
- Meet project goals for crewman hours and equipment hours.
- Get all overtime approved by the Superintendent/Project Manager by 5 pm.
- Turn in timecards/Clock Shark.
- Know milestones and timeline tracking and meet deadlines.
- Communicate in advance with the Superintendent of job needs regarding materials, equipment, and manpower.
- Submit a 3-week look ahead manpower request to the Project Manager as requested.
- Maintain an approved set of plans on-site.
- Inspect and ensure quality workmanship per standards and contract documents.
- Prepare daily reports of all activities, workers, inspections, etc. with photos in Buildertrend.
- Supervise, train, lead by example, and provide positive reinforcement to the crew.
- Perform as Superintendent if no Superintendent is assigned to the project.
- Develop and maintain rapport with subcontractors and clients.
- Demonstrate and maintain a positive work environment and team player attitude by developing leadership qualities.
- Cultivate a positive safety culture by demonstrating safe practices and holding in-house crew and subcontractors accountable.
Qualifications:
- Prior building trades experience is required.
- Previous experience as a Foreman is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- CDL license is beneficial but not required.
- Able to successfully perform the physical demands of the job such as bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
- Able to move up to 50 pounds.
- Able to climb ladders and work from varying heights.
- Professional customer service to communicate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and coworkers.
- Strong decision and leadership skills for delegating tasks to subcontractors and construction site workers.
- Background check and drug screen required upon offer of employment.
