Cycle Counter

1 Resource Group is seeking a detail-oriented Cycle Counter to join a leading warehouse team in the Houston area. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, identifying discrepancies, and supporting overall inventory control processes to ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of inventory items as scheduled.
• Accurately count and record physical inventory quantities using handheld scanners or counting sheets.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and report findings to Inventory Control or Warehouse Supervisor.
• Assist with root cause analysis of variances to implement corrective actions.
• Maintain organized work areas, ensuring products are properly labeled and stored
• Support inventory adjustments in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) as directed.
• Collaborate with receiving, picking, and shipping teams to verify inventory accuracy.
• Follow all company safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience in a warehouse or inventory control role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate RF scanners and basic computer systems.
• Familiarity with WMS or ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Proficient in Fork Truck operation
• Detail oriented for accuracy in counts and documentation
• Capable of demonstrating competency in both the process and the movement of materials

Work Environment:

• Warehouse setting with varying temperatures.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
