Our client, a renowned manufacturing company located in Houston, is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of their production equipment and facilities. This is a hands-on role for a proactive individual with expertise in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and control the production and shipment process, ensuring customer satisfaction and pricing requirements are met.
- Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, replace fixtures, and ensure safe electrical practices are followed.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing leaks, fixtures, and piping systems.
- Maintain and repair a variety of equipment including machinery, tools, and appliances.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Assist in the development and execution of preventative maintenance plans.
- Document all maintenance activity using the company’s maintenance software system.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.
- Organize and track supplies, materials, and work orders using strong organizational skills.
- Follow and enforce all safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify equipment and system issues effectively.
- Strong organizational skills for tracking materials, supplies, and documentation.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
- Welding skills are advantageous.
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.
