Currently, we are in search of a Director of Engineering to join our dynamic team. 


Overview:
Our client is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead innovation and execution within the power distribution and motion control space. This role requires a strategic, forward-thinking leader with a strong engineering foundation and a passion for shaping the future of automation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term technical strategies for customizable power distribution and motion control products.

  • Team Development: Lead and mentor engineering teams and project managers, cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

  • Project Ownership: Manage the complete product development lifecycle — from concept to production — ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

  • Technical Oversight: Stay engaged with core technologies, including PLCs, servo systems, and advanced automation tools.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Operations to ensure alignment with customer needs and market trends.

  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure engineering activities comply with NEC, UL508A, and other applicable standards and regulations.

  • Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and product innovation.

  • Executive Communication: Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization — from technical teams to executive leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)

  • Proven expertise in electrical controls design, industrial automation, and circuit integration

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Eplan, and PLC programming

  • Demonstrated success leading high-performance, multidisciplinary engineering teams

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
