1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced Equipment Shop Mechanic to join our client's dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overall functionality of diverse machinery used in earth-moving construction industry. Your mechanical skills will ensure our equipment remains in top condition, contributing to our commitment to excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspects lift trucks and equipment to determine the extent of repairs.
  • Performs needed repairs on gasoline, diesel, and propane engines with minimal instruction.
  • Inspects, adjusts, and repairs components as needed.
  • Repairs cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems using diagnostic tools.
  • Performs preventative maintenance as needed to improve the condition and performance of the fleet.
  • Operates equipment to troubleshoot and test equipment as needed.
  • Maintains records of all maintenance performed.
  • Assists parts department in shipping and receiving of motor freight.
  • Takes service calls and assists when the Service Manager is unavailable.
  • Cleans and maintains the garage area as needed.
  • Other related duties as required.

Requirments:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a mechanic, particularly in heavy equipment environments.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and equipment used in equipment repair.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel mechanics.
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and perform maintenance tasks.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
  • Background and MVR are required as you will be driving a company truck.
