1 Resource Group is hiring for a Quality Specialist, our client is located on the Northwest side of Houston. 


Position Summary

Quality Specialist is responsible for incoming, in process, and final inspection processes. They will also monitor, maintain the QMS, policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions. The candidate will also identify and resolve workflow and production issues and ensure that standards and safety regulations at the company are observed. 



General Duties

Quality Control:

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and physical property inspection and testing 
  • Create NCRs and CARs
  • Maintain inspection and test logs
  • Maintain calibrated equipment throughout the organization.
  • Incoming, in-process and final inspection to make sure products meet the company and customer’s requirements. 
  • Create inspection reports (C of Cs, MTRs and other reports)
  • Inventory Tracking of finished goods

Quality Assurance:

  • Identify gaps in efficient process workflow and suggests steps for quality process improvement.
  • Collect, prepare, and analyze data for corrective action and process improvement.
  • Support production operations and critical business situations.
  • Ensure materials and products meet defined product specifications and standards.
  • Review, compile, and analyze information to prepare reports.
  • Assist in defining and improving processes as part of a team.
  • Responsible for the revision or development of new material specifications.
  • Investigate quality issues to identify root causes and ensure issues are addressed and resolved.
  • Play an active role in the development of inspection requirements.
  • Help manage all QMS processes (NCR, CAR, OFI processes...etc) 
  • Perform RCAs 
  • Write and maintain procedures and work instructions
  • Perform internal audits
  • Lead continuous improvement and training sessions  


Safety

  • Promote and follow Ensinger safe work practices, policies and regulations.
  • Comfortable with standard issued PPE





Required Education and Experience


  • High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred. 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Quality
  • Experience in manufacturing environment, compression molding experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of common quality inspection equipment (calipers, mics, durometer.etc)
  • Lean Manufacturing principles and data analysis
  • Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Ishikawa, FMEA, FTA..etc)
  • ISO 9001 auditing experience
  • Data analysis
  • PC Communication skills such as MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) is a must.
  • Good typing and writing skills and basic math a must.
  • ERP experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills 
  • Good interdepartmental communication
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and withstand repetitive motion.
