1 Resource Group is hiring Laser Operators for our client that is located in Conroe, Texas. The Laser Operator individual will maximize efficiency through the process of programming, set-ups and operation of one or more Laser Cladding systems to apply an overlay to external, internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal work pieces to drawing specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Independently, program, setup, operate and maintains 2 or more Laser Cladding Systems according to detail drawings, specifications, work orders and instructions to meet or exceed production schedules.
· Relies on Drawings, Work Orders and Customer Specification for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be processed.
· Maintains correct dimensions of parts while in Production the Work order using measuring instruments such as micrometers, comparators, calipers, and gauges, inspects completed parts to ensure they meet drawing/specifications.
· Recognizes improper machine functioning and makes required adjustments.
· Able to recognize, identify, perform and troubleshoot machine operations in manufacturing for improved quality.
· Programs CNC to set machine moves, specified speeds, feed rates, and Laser functions.
· Demonstrates technical knowledge and experience in reading, interpreting blueprints and use shop and measuring tools.
· Required to identify and alert any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures.
· Works under limited supervision with a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
· Able to train others in Laser Operators and techniques as needed.
· Adheres to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, practices, and procedures.
Requirements:
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply mathematical concepts and calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios and standard units of measurements.
