1 Resourcce Group is hiring Grinders in the Conroe area.

GRINDER SUMMARY: The Grinder individual will maximizes efficiency through the process of set-ups and operations of one or more grinding machines to grind external or internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal work pieces to blueprint specifications. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Independently sets-up, operates and maintains 2 or more grinding machines according to detail blueprints, specifications, work orders and instructions to meet or exceed production schedules. 

Maintains correct dimensions of parts while running the job using measuring instruments such as micrometers, comparators, calipers, and gauges, inspects completed parts to ensure they meet blueprints/specifications. 

Able to train others in grinding operations and techniques as needed. . Recognizes improper machine functioning and makes required adjustments. 

Verifies dimensions of ground work piece for conformance to specifications. 

Able to recognize, identify, perform and troubleshoot machine operations in manufacturing for improved quality and tooling life. 

Mounts grinding wheel and regulating wheel on spindles with wrenches and dresses wheels to specifications.

Change worn grinding wheels as needed. 

Moves controls to set specified grinding speeds, feed rates, and spacing between wheel faces. 

Demonstrates technical knowledge and experience in reading, interpreting blueprints and use shop and measuring tools. 

Relies on blueprints and job order for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground.

Adheres to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, practices, and procedures. 

Required to identify and alert any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures. 

Works under limited supervision with a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios and standard units of measurements.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, establish facts and follow instructions in written and basic diagram formats. Ability to perform and apply different problem solving techniques, handle internal/external situations and multi-task functions.
