Position Overview: As the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our company. You will be responsible for overseeing financial processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and implementing efficient financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting analytics, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive process improvements. Candidate must be willing to periodically travel between locations in Columbus, MS and Miami, FL.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  2. External Financing: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and covenants associated with external financing agreements. Identify and assess potential risks related to changes in market conditions, interest rates, or the overall economic environment.
  3. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure high-performance levels and professional development.
  4. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and streamline accounting procedures to enhance efficiency.
  5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with various departments to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  6. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, budget variances, and financial performance to provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience (>5 years) in accounting, with a focus on managerial roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
